Terry Shaneyfelt, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at UAB in Birmingham, Alabama. I am pursuing a degree in educational technology for both personal and professional growth. I reflect on the reasons for this decision in my Welcome post.
I am a practicing internist in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. I regularly attend on the general medicine wards at the Birmingham VA Medical Center. I also supervise residents in their primary care clinics.
My research, teaching and writing interests revolve around clinical practice guidelines and teaching EBM. I have produced a fairly large collection of YouTube videos on EBM and perioperative risk assessment and management.
